When spring time rolls around, I am probably the happiest person in Cleveland, Akron or Washington DC DMV to see it show up.  Basically, I can tell you I am not a fan of winter.  I feel people’s attitudes are not as warm and welcoming and the gray skies do not make me feel warm and fuzzy.    I try to do some fun things to help the winter blahs stay away, like visiting friends or taking small little trips somewhere that will make me smile.

The other wonderful thing I do is plan some photo shoots that are just for me and for fun to keep my creative juices flowing.  Recently I did a photo shoot just for me and visited some friends who also run some photography workshops.  I too run workshops to teach people how to use their digital cameras and how to shoot their subjects of interest, but in this instance, I was the student.

Did you know everyone approaches the creative process differently?  Sometimes they eye will see what it sees and sometimes, we won’t see things at all.  I know that sounds weird, but it is the truth.  You can have several photographers in the same room shooting the same thing and we will all approach the shoot from a different angle and perspective.  Does not make it right or wrong……just different.

I was able to shoot some guys during a creative shoot recently.  Now, truthfully, guys don’t always call on me to do a shoot for them.  Usually it is their wives, girlfriends or secretaries making those phone calls.  HaHaHa!  It was great to approach this shoot from a different perspective.  If you are thinking of having your shoot done, please give me a call so we can discuss your wants and needs for the shoot.  I love approaching things with fresh eyes.
